The alert says a number is high. It does not say which of the four things that push that number up is the one moving, or whether it has been climbing for six minutes or six hours, or what changed immediately before. So the first eleven minutes of the incident are not spent fixing anything. They are spent rebuilding context that existed at the moment the alert fired and was not carried along with it.

02:22. Cause found. It is upstream, it is not urgent, and it will resolve itself within the hour. The correct response was to do nothing, and it took twenty-two minutes and one woken-up human to earn the right to do nothing.
